Discover Where You Can Buy A Home With 5% Down And No PMI In NorCal
I have written previously about the 5% down with no PMI loan program. Eligibility depends on two qualifiers: property location or income limits.
You can buy a home anywhere in San Mateo County with this program if your income is less than $121,440. If it is more, than the property must be in one of the thirty two designated census tracts. If you would like a map of these areas, click on this picture of one of the tracts.
In San Francisco County there are eighty one census tracts that are eligible for this program. The maximum income limit for properties outside of these census tracts is also $121,440. If you would like a map of these areas in San Francisco County, click on the picture to the right.
In Santa Clara there are 120 eligible census tracts! The income limit here for properties outside of these areas is slightly higher, $121,560. To get the maps of these eligible areas, click on the map.
Across the Bay in Alameda County the maximum income limit is slightly less than the West bay, coming in at $107,040. There are 128 eligible census tracts in this county - for the maps of these areas, click on the map.
Heading toward the valley, the income limit in Contra Costa County is also $107,040. There are fifty seven tracts in this county that are eligible. You want the maps of these tracts, click on the map above!
Heading north to Marin County, there are only nine eligible census tracts. However, you can still qualify for this program if your income is less than $121,440. For the map of these nine areas, click on the picture above!.
Finally, heading down the coast to Santa Cruz, the maximum income amount is $88,560 for properties located outside of the designated census tracts. There are sixteen census tracts in this county that are eligible - click on the picture of the map!
