One of the treasures tucked away in the heart of the busy Silicon Valley is Shoreline Lake Aquatic Center and Cafe in Mountain View, California. With Google's headquarter campus and the Shoreline Amphitheater only a stone's throw away, Lakeside Cafe provides an oasis of tranquility and relaxation in a natural setting next to a 50-acre lake where one can learn to windsurf, rent a kayak or pedalboat, or jog and bike the surrounding bayside trails.

Not only is the food at Lakeside Cafe delicious and fresh, the ambiance is relaxing and makes a great spot for a casual business meeting, family outing, or solo escape with your favorite book. Lakeside Cafe also caters corporate and private events, either outside on the lawns, or in a room adjacent to the terrace, and the staff is friendly and never rushes one.
Shoreline Lake and Aquatic Center and Cafe in Mountain View California -- two more reasons why living in the Silicon Valley is so highly desired.
--- Just another benefit of living here!

Hi Lottie: I'm from Sunnyvale originally so I'm familiar with the Shoreline Amphitheater but I've never been to the park or cafe. Next time I visit my parents I'm going to suggest we go there - it looks awesome. Have a fantastic weekend!
Hi Cari -- And a happy weekend to you, too. You'll love Shoreline Park -- the bayside trails link up with Palo Alto Baylands, and will take you into downtown Mountain View -- fun if you are into running or bicycling. Picnics and boating here are delightful; a short stroll takes one to a playground area for little kids. It's a real treasure--something for everyone.

Lottie, this sounds like such a wonderful place to spend time!!
Hi Judi, Glad you stopped by. When one lives in a very built-up, busy area like the Silicon Valley, it surely is nice to have spots like this where we can "chill."
Lottie....I think this would be a great place to spend Easter morning! Have a great day!
It would, indeed, Rob -- except for the rainstorm predicted for today! Happy Easter to you!
Lottie--Your posts always bring back memories. I visited my brother when he was stationed in Mountain View 30 years ago. Thanks for jogging my memory today.
Mary, this park is almost next door to Moffett Field! If you enjoy reading about this area, you can become a fan of my Facebook page, Peninsula Living
Lottie--I did just that.
Thanks! Maybe it will entice you out this way for another visit by and by. :>)
Lottie you're in an area that is really beautiful. I'll definitely try the Lakeshore Cafe the next time I'm passing through!
Andi, it's great spot. Toss your sun hat and running shoes in the car, enjoy the bayside trails, followed by lunch, and maybe some windsurfing. (I've not done that yet, but should one of these days.)
